Gift Baskets

I finally found cellophane wrap in Malaysia....yeah. So now I am making gift baskets for Christmas, and new babies that are being delivered soon for the embassy. I even have a store here in Kuala Lumpur that wants all my products in there stores. I am so happy, and I really enjoy what I am doing.

Girls Scouts Trip to ExxonMobil

Today we had our Girls Scouts Trip to ExxonMobil Visualization Center. We learned about Geology, and the many types of rocks we have on earth. We also learned how all of these rocks are formed. They were shown a movie presentation, and got to touch the many types of rocks we have on earth. There favorite part was of the presentation was answering questions for candy. They behaved really well, and had alot of fun.

Another Craft Show

Here we are again at another craft show. This time I decided last minute to be in the X-Mas Bazaar because a table suddenly became available. We had pretty much the same stuff, because there wasn't much time to do more. We did add some new glass jars to the table to make it more prettier.

My First Craft Show

I had my first craft show ever and it was better then I expected. I didn't make a profit, but I was able to make enough to break even my first show. So my next show will be all profit, I'm so proud of myself it took me one week to put all of this together. It was really tough, but it was all worth it in the end. My two very good friends helped out with my show, Sheryl ran all over Kuala Lumpur getting my supplies, and taking care of lose ends for me. Tina decorated my table, because she is the interior designer, and that is what she does best.

More Soap

I just wanted to experiment with some colors, and techniques with soap making and this is what I came up with. I first made a round 1 pound soap loaf in a Pringles can, because I don't have a round soap mold, but now I am going to purchase one. I then placed it in a 2 pound silicon brick mold, and poured 1 pound of soap over it. I let it sit for 24 hours, and then took it out and started to cut it. I didn't scent the soap just in case, I didn't like the way it turned out.

New Soap Racks

I have been making soaps now for over five years, and I never brought drying racks. I didn't want to spend the money because it gets pretty expensive getting all of these fancy supplies for soap making. I finally decided it was time to get one, and because I was running out of room for all of my soaps to cure. I am so glad I did, because now I know where all my soaps are, and I can keep better track of everything. I am so happy with my soap rack, but I think I might already need another one.

Oatmeal Green Tea Facial Bar

I made a 16 ounces of green tea, and let it cool down, then mixed in the lye solution. I used olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, almond oil , and castor oil for the base oils. I had green tea fragrance on hand so I decided to use it as well in scenting the 5 pound batch of soap. I always wanted to use oatmeal, so I figured using it in a facial bar would be ideal. I topped the mixture with oatmeal and this is my end result.

This is the soap batch poured into the slab for 24 hours till it hardens enough to cut.

Here is a better picture of my soap after it was cut into bars.

I really love the look of these, so creamy, and smell so soft like green tea.

Yasmin in Malaysia

These are photos of Yasmin while she was visiting Malaysia.

Kids Pictures

These are just some photos I found of the kids, mainly Zidan because Iman, and Siti were requesting new photos.

This our trip to Cambodia. We had a great time, but it was very depressing to see all the poverty there. All these children in the streets running naked without shoes begging for money. Streets always flooded, because of the constant rain. I really didn't expect Cambodia to be this bad, but there were some beautiful sites. We saw Angkor Wat temples in Siem Reap. We also saw what is known as the Tomb Raider Temple, that was really awesome, because I am a huge fan of the movie. Then there was the Silk Farm were they actually have silk worms, and they use there silk and weave them into beautiful clothes.

After two days of Siem Reap we took a bus to Phnom Penh. There we saw the royal palace, I wasn't really impressed with that at all. Ramsey said it is because they are such a poor country that it is not as nice as other palaces. Then there was the national museum, this I enjoyed a lot. You saw many Buddhas there, and other gods that they believe in. The most shocking thing I saw there was the Genocide Museum. I didn't know that around 1975 that they killed all the educated people, like teachers, and politicians so they wouldn't rise up against the government. They also killed their spouses, and children because they didn't want to leave anyone behind. They tortured them for 2 to 4 months, but important politicians were tortured for 6 to 7 months. Children were thrown against trees till they died. We went to the killing fields were you actually saw all these ditches were all the bodies lied. They still have many skulls, bones, teeth, and clothing left from these people. After all those depressing museums we went back to the hotel to rest.

The next day we went shopping yeah.................We went to what is known as the Russian Market. It is so cheap there that we went crazy just buying anything just for the sake of it. I wish we would of had more space, or a way to ship back large items. They had the most beautiful home decor, maybe we need another trip out there to get more stuff.

Our trip was great, the food shockingly was really good too. I couldn't eat local food because it was too spicy and I have had it up to my eyes balls with spicy food. I started to give me heart burn, because I am pregnant. So I just ate rice, salad, and a lot of fruits.

Halloween Party

I haven't been to many Halloween parties before, but this was very fun. They had a lot of organized games for the kids to play. They even had great halloween snacks for the party. We all had a blast, and can't wait for next years party.
